Her mission: investigate a claim that a wealthy collector's android has begun practicing witchcraft. Elsewhere in the same star system, an ex-Navy Seal summoner and a criminal enchantress wend their way through the streets of Halspur, searching for a rare book. What follows is more than any of them expected: a colony on the brink of collapse, a rogue demonologist, and a powerful sorcerer-turned-demagogue who will stop at nothing until the android is destroyed.
